Meta Tags
The Drupal Meta Tags module allows you to set Meta Tags for pages and views. This module is formerly known as Nodewords and may also be known as node (key)words.
Although the power of the Meta Tag has diminished in recent years, it is still necessary for a fully optimized website. The Description and Keywords tags are the two most important. The Description often shows up in Google search results as the piece of text that is shown to users under the Page Title. The Keywords Meta Tag tells search engines exactly what your page is about. Another important Meta Tag is the Robots tag. This tells Search Engine spiders whether or not to crawl certain pages of a site and whether or not to follow the links on the current page.
This module gives you control over Meta Tags and allows them to be set on each page or view of a Drupal CMS. If you have not set a Description tag, Drupal will automatically insert the first portion of text it find on the page. The Meta Tags Module is a very important addition to a Drupal site and is one of the most useful contributed modules in regards to SEO.
