Installing XML Sitemap Module
Follow the steps below to install the XML Sitemap Module on a Drupal CMS.
- Download the XML Sitemap Module from drupal.org
- Unzip the files to your local computer
- Upload the folder to wherever you store your modules (either the /modules/ folder or /sites/all/modules/)
- Go to Administer > Site Building > Modules
- Check off at least the XML Sitemap and XML Sitemap: Node checkboxes (you may check off the others if they suit the project)
- Click Save Configuration
- Go to Administer > Site Configuration > XML Sitemap
- Configure Sitemap Settings as are required for the project

To exclude a Content Type from the Sitemap go to Administer > Content Management > Content Types
- Edit the Content Type
- At the bottom in the Sitemap section select Not in site map from the Priority Adjustment drop box
